Blue and Gold Banquet

Posted by mburden on Feb 5 2017 - 8:37pm

Our pack meeting this month will be the Blue and Gold Banquet, celebrating our 75th year of continuous operation.  The banquet will be held on February 24th at 6pm in Fellowship Hall.  We'll get Chick-Fil-A catering for the main course, and attendees will bring drinks, sides, and snacks.  There will be a cake decorating contest for PRIZES!  We'll also be playing BINGO!

Please RSVP at the SignUp Genius, and be sure to let us know how many people are coming.  This is important to get a count for our Chick-Fil-A order and room setup.  Also, we ask that each family bring something to serve about 8-10, based on scout rank:

Tigers:  Starch or Vegetable Sides, such as chips, mac & cheese, potatoes, salads, etc.

Wolves:  Drinks or appetizers

Bears:  Fruit or healthy dessert

Webelos 1 & 2:  Salads or vegetable sides

For those interested in the Cake Competition, we need at least 8-9 large cakes.  Cakes need to be Cub Scout theme and made by the boys with help from families.  Sign up at the SignUp Genius!

Consideration for carrying the Pack flags and banners will be given to those scouts whose families are first to sign up for attending.

The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8 (Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting.

Sunday, 5 February is Scout Sunday.  All scouts are encouraged to attend their own place of worship in uniform.  As our chartering organization, all scouts are welcome to attend services at Westminster Church.  Please let your den leaders know if you have any questions.
